International Paper to build new plant in Mississippi

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis-based International Paper is building a $225 million sustainable packaging facility in Mississippi, the company announced Friday.

The new 486,000-square-foot facility will be built on 80 acres in Brandon, near the company’s exisiting box plant in Richland.

Employees at the Richland facility will transition to the new plant after it is built.
