Prairie View A&M drops matchup to Jackson State despite late lead

JACKSON, Miss. —The Prairie View A&M Panthers held an 8-7 lead into the ninth inning, but could not hold on and fell 9-8 to the Jackson State Tigers Saturday.

Alejandro Marquez (0-2) took the loss on the mound for Prairie View A&M (5-16, 1-4).

At the plate, the Panthers were led by Ryland Duson, who went 2-for-3 on the day with a double, two walks and three RBIs. Ethan Walker put together a noteworthy day at the plate as well, going 3-for-4 with a double, a walk and two RBIs.
