JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A Jackson mother is still searching for justice in the death of her son, Omar Drake. Anita Drake said his case was quietly closed late last year without her being notified.
Omar was found deceased near the train tracks on North State Street near Woodway Drive in October 2024.
“Got a call back, and I was told that my case was closed. And my question was, how can you close the case and not tell the mother, the parents, that they closed his case? And he basically said they dropped the ball on that one and that they closed it last year in September,” Anita said…
