JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Twenty-five years ago, on April 6, 2001, Nissan held a ceremony in Madison County to mark the beginning of construction of its new plant near Canton.
Dirt work had begun in January of that year, and Nissan announced that it had chosen Yates Construction to build the plant.
