JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Hinds Community College and the Vicksburg Warren School District are launching a new dual-enrollment option designed to help high school seniors enter skilled trades faster.
According to Hinds CC, the program, called Pathways to Advancement Through Hinds (P.A.T.H.), will begin in fall 2026. Selected VWSD 12th-grade students will complete their high school diploma while enrolling full-time as Hinds CC students in applied science or skilled trades, making it the first dual-enrollment program of its kind in Mississippi.
Hinds officials say students could potentially earn a two-semester career certificate while finishing high school, with options to continue toward a technical certificate, and eventually an associate degree.
