CSX debuts pair of America 250 locomotives

  • CSX unveils America 250 locomotives, CM44AHs Nos. 250 and 2026, celebrating 250th anniversary of American independence.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – CSX today (June 8) unveiled its pair of locomotives that are a salute to the 250th anniversary of American independence.

“Freight railroads have powered American growth and prosperity for more than two centuries,” CEO Steve Angel said. “From the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, one of CSX’s predecessors and the nation’s first common carrier, to today’s CSX system, rail remains essential to the U.S. economy. These locomotives celebrate that unique American legacy and the people who made it possible.”
