Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan is pitching a $2 billion city budget as a tool for affordability, with housing and homelessness listed alongside public safety and infrastructure as core investment priorities.
The proposed FY 2026-2027 budget sets the General Fund at $2,026,502,015 and adds a Capital Improvement Plan of $586,110,854—and for the second consecutive year, it draws zero dollars from city reserves.
