The University of North Florida physics and astronomy program is hosting a free public viewing of a nearly total lunar eclipse this Thursday, Aug. 27.
The event will take place from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. on the top floor of the UNF Arena Parking Garage, Building 38, on the university campus in Jacksonville. Attendees will be able to watch the moon slowly turn red through telescopes.
