Driver charged after pedestrian killed in Broadway crash

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The 87-year-old driver who struck multiple pedestrians on Broadway last month has been charged in the case, according to police.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, Thomas Cahill, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, drove his Ford Fusion through a red light on Aug. 1, at the intersection of 4th Avenue and Broadway.

Cahill has now been charged with four misdemeanors in the case, according to police: one count of failure to yield resulting in death and three counts of failure to yield resulting in serious injury…
