JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – As expected, attorneys for Mario Fernandez are appealing his conviction for first-degree murder and solicitation to commit a capital felony in the deadly ambush shooting of Jared Bridegan, his wife’s ex-husband.
Fernandez was found guilty last month after a week-long trial that included testimony from Bridegan’s widow, investigators who worked on the case and witnesses who came upon the grisly scene on Feb. 16, 2022.
