Jacksonville events: Things to do Sept. 11-13

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – From an ocean conservation festival and Asian Night Market to live music, sporting events and the Jaguars’ home opener, Jacksonville has plenty to do this weekend.

Friday, Sept. 11

Fin Fest returns to Jacksonville Beach

Fin Fest, a free, two-day ocean conservation, education and music festival, runs Friday and Saturday at the Seawalk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach.

The family-friendly event includes an education village, an underwater virtual reality experience, touch tanks from Jacksonville University, speakers, panel discussions, food and live music.

Asian Night Market

The Asian Night Market returns Friday and Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m. at RD International Market, 7534 Beach Blvd.

The free event features food from the Philippines, Thailand, Korea, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Ron White performs in Jacksonville

Comedian Ron White is scheduled to perform at the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts.
