Gateway Jax unveiled how its planned downtown tower filled with luxury hotel rooms, condominiums and a skyview terrace would fit into Riverfront Plaza and won unanimous backing Sept. 10 from the Downtown Development Review Board in the first of several steps for the developer.
Next up will be a Sept. 16 vote by the Downtown Investment Authority board on taxpayer incentives comprised of up to $20 million for a cash completion grant payable after the tower is built and as much as $35.4 million in property tax rebates over a 20-year period.
