A popular lobster roll restaurant in Jacksonville is preparing to serve its final meals at one of its Florida locations. The closure comes less than two years after the restaurant opened, giving the location a surprisingly short run.
Jacksonville location closing
Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls announced that its restaurant at St. Johns Town Center would close permanently on August 25, 2026. The location opened in late 2024, meaning it operated for roughly 22 months.
The restaurant announced the closure on social media August 23, thanking customers for supporting the Jacksonville location and encouraging them to visit before its final day.
The St. Johns Town Center restaurant offered Mason’s signature lobster rolls along with other New England-style seafood dishes. The chain is known for serving lobster rolls featuring chilled lobster meat and Maine-style preparations.
