A convicted felon released from state prison last year has been charged with murder in connection with a deadly confrontation in Jacksonville earlier this spring.
Mark Mulliens, 35, now faces a murder charge for the death of 28-year-old Jarrius Brown, authorities announced.
The incident began on Sunday, May 17, when District 1 Patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at a home on Mayfair Road, near Beach Boulevard.
