A Florida nonprofit is asking the community to rally around Ebony, a mother of eight children who is currently navigating homelessness, caring for a newborn and trying to secure stable housing for her family.
A Way To A Fresh Start shared an update about Ebony and her children on Instagram Friday, Sept. 25, describing the family’s difficult circumstances and asking people to help provide food, everyday necessities and assistance with finding permanent housing.
According to the nonprofit, Ebony recently took her newborn to the hospital after becoming concerned that a roach may have gotten into the baby’s ear. The organization did not provide additional details about the baby’s medical condition.
The family is currently staying at an overnight emergency shelter, where residents must leave around 4 a.m. and cannot return until approximately 3 p.m., according to the organization…
