Jacksonville councilwoman suspended from teaching position at DCPS middle school amid HR investigation

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Councilwoman Tyrona Clark-Murray has been suspended from her teaching duties at Alfred Dupont Middle School amid a Duval County Public Schools human resources investigation into alleged inappropriate physical contact.

The suspension is for 10 days without pay.

A DCPS board member said at the time that the reassignment involved alleged inappropriate physical contact. The district did not identify the incident and said it would not provide further information during the active investigation…
