State Rep. Angie Nixon raised just under a million dollars in her primary campaign, while her opponent, Alex Vindman, raised more than $16 million. Nixon won the primary by 12 points.
Now the Jacksonville native is using the same grassroots strategy to win against Republican incumbent Ashley Moody.
“She’s not just an outsider who has given in to the pressures to conform. She has stood out consistently in her career serving us in the House,” said Tallahassee City Commissioner Jacqueline Porter, who endorsed Nixon. “Her courage, tenacity and realness are the qualities that I’m looking for.”…
