FLORIDA — Several weather changes are on the way for Florida this weekend into early next week, including strong winds, high surf, and coastal flooding. Wind gusts could reach 35 to 45 mph from Sunday into Monday, especially along the East Coast. A High Surf Advisory is in effect, with surf-zone waves of 7 to 13 feet from Sunday through Tuesday. Coastal flooding is expected to worsen as king tides combine with days of gusty northeast winds.

Orlando is forecast near 37 mph, with Gainesville around 35. The Panhandle will be breezy but less windy, with Tallahassee near 28 mph and Pensacola around 27. Loose outdoor items, Halloween decorations, and patio furniture should be secured before Sunday.
