Another Florida Brewery Is Shutting Its Doors, In Part Due To Economic Reasons

Unfortunately, I have written several articles in the past couple of months about Florida breweries either closing their doors or filing for bankruptcy due to economic reasons, including:

Brewer’s Pizza and Pinglehead Brewery;

Persimmon Hollow Brewing;

Deadwords Brewing, and

Lemonstreet Brewing Company.

Now we can add another brewery to the list, as another in Florida will be closing down, in part due to financial issues.

About Hyperion Brewery: This brewery opened in 2017 in this historic Springfield neighborhood. It features a relaxed taproom and a “secret” beer garden where patrons can enjoy a relaxing place with jasmine and twinkle lights.

It gets a very high 4.7 out of 5 stars from Jacksonville patrons, with people using terms like “gem,” “dog friendly,” “laid back,” and “wonderful selection.” A reviewer named Lukas wrote:

“Great selection of interesting beers, Friendly and knowledgeable staff, and laid-back atmosphere. This place is definitely worth checking out.”

Information About The Upcoming Closure: On January 10, 2024, the company took to social media to announce its upcoming closure in late March of 2024. The company wrote that it is not renewing its lease and that the last six years had been “gratifying as well as trying.” It thanked the community for its support.
