The Jacksonville Jaguars had one of the best defensive players in the entire league last season, Josh Allen. He had a career year and was a huge reason opponents’ offenses were often times shut down. Having a season like the one Allen just had oftentimes happens in contract years, as Allen is either set to be a free agent, get a big contract from someone, or be franchise-tagged by the Jaguars.
This offseason is a big one for the Jaguars. They barely missed the playoffs and actually took a step back from last season. They cannot get any of the crucial must-do things wrong. One of those is ensuring Allen is back in teal next season, as he could only keep improving.
So far, though, the Jaguars aren’t doing a great job of staying on top of things. If you ask Allen, he would say the two sides haven’t even talked yet. He was pretty straightforward when he asked what he would like to say to the Jaguars after revealing they haven’t spoken.
