Nationally-Recognized Florida Pizzeria Chain Abruptly Closes Two Locations With Little Explanation

It’s no secret that many Floridians today originally lived somewhere else. Some of those Floridians – often from Detroit, Chicago, or New York – will tell you that Florida doesn’t have great pizza, mostly due to the water.

However, Floridians who have lived in Florida their entire lives will counter and say that if you have an open mind, Florida has some great pizza offerings such as Piesanos in The Villages and Gainesville’s Satchel’s Pizza.

Unfortunately, one Florida pizzeria chain that many Floridians consider worthy has abruptly closed the doors to two locations with little explanation.

In 2022, Biggie’s was nationally recognized by being named one of Yelp’s Top 100 Places for Pizza in the U.S.

Jacksonville patrons at one of the locations in question give Biggie’s high marks, as it earns 4.4 out of 5 stars on Google reviews. Phases used to describe the food are “amazing,” “fresh,” and “satisfying.”
