JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man is recovering after a shooting in the city’s Paxon neighborhood Friday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Around 8:15 pm., officers responded to the 700 block of Edgewood Avenue regarding a person shot. When officers arrived, they found a man in his mid-50s shot once in the back. The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
