A Rebuilt Florida Publix Will Soon Reopen A Few Days Before A Nearby Publix Will Be Torn Down

Floridians who have shopped in the Sunshine State for a while know that it’s not uncommon for Publix to tear down vintage stores and then modernize them for reopening. I’ve written about Fort Myers, Lakeland, and St. Petersburg which have been knocked down for new stores, as just a few examples. And now, while one store in Jacksonville will be knocked down, another will reopen after demolition.

About The Harbour Place Shopping Center Teardown And Upcoming Reopening: In the summer of 2023, Publix filed permits for a $7.11 million rebuild of a new store after demolition at 13170 Atlantic Boulevard in the Harbour Place Shopping Center. The new store is slated to be 56,433 square feet and the Publix closed in July of 2024 for demolition.

The Publix receives a 4.6 out of 5 stars on Google reviews. Many complimented customer service and cleanliness. A reviewer named Mark wrote:

“This is the best grocery store you could ever ask for. The staff is always kind helpful and hard-working respectful people. The place is extremely clean. Always stocked with a great selection of top products.”
