FL Dentist’s House of Horrors: Tortured Kids, Did Surgery Without Anesthesia

In May of 2015, a Florida children’s dentist was accused of torturing kids by performing surgery without anesthesia. Multiple lawsuits were filed to shut down the “House of Horrors.”

Reports against the practices of Dr. Howard Schneider grew and parents began picketing. Multiple lawsuits were filed alleging improper and horrific acts committed by the Jacksonville, Florida, dentist.

One young patient went to Schneider’s office for a follow-up appointment on his upper teeth. He emerged with bruises around his neck and gauze on his lower teeth. The following day, the patient’s mother took him to the pediatrician who discovered a scalpel slice on the boy’s gum — from ear to ear.

Dr. Schneider did not allow parents or guardians access to the examination room.

“Parents should never be refused to go back with their children. They don’t always have to, but if they want to, they should be allowed. Every time. Most dentists are just fine with that.”

Many parents reported that in addition to unusual cuts and bruises on their children’s necks, unnecessary extractions were done without anesthesia. One child needed a single extraction and suffered the removal of seven teeth.
