Jaguars’ Brian Thomas Jr., Gabe Davis expected to play vs. Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10 and while the Jaguars won’t have starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence available (shoulder), it appears that backup Mac Jones will have his top targets in the passing game.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Jaguars wide receivers Brian Thomas Jr. and Gabe Davis are both expected to play in Sunday’s game against the Vikings after both were listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report.

Thomas Jr. was dealing with a chest injury but got in three limited practices during the week, paving the way for him to play on Sunday.

The 23rd overall pick in April’s NFL Draft, Thomas is having a solid rookie season with 35 catches for 595 yards and five touchdowns but has been limited to three or fewer catches in three of his last four games.

Davis also had three limited practices due to a shoulder injury but the veteran serves as Jacksonville’s deep threat. His first season with the Jaguars hasn’t gone well, however, as he has 18 catches for 217 yards and two touchdowns in eight games. Davis also missed last week’s game against the Eagles due to the injury.
