The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has arrested 27-year-old Davion Murphy for the murder of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio.

This is the fifth arrest connected to Charles Jones’ shooting death that happened in Tampa on June 23, 2024.
Sandrikas Mays, Jones’ mother, said she is thankful for the arrest.
“I’m thankful for the capture of 5 suspects that had involvement with the murder of my son Charles Jones II. I never once did not believe that those responsible wouldn’t be caught. I’m forever grateful,” Mays said in a statement.

According to a social media post, the arrest was a team effort between JSO SWAT, the Gang Unit, and the U.S. Marshals Service.
Murphy was arrested on Monday night at an apartment on Labelle Street.

“This arrest highlights our commitment and perseverance to solving this murder,” JSO Director of Investigations and Homeland Security Mark Romano said in the social media post. “While it took some time, JSO and partners worked daily to hold these individuals accountable.”
