Flash flooding warnings have been issued to Northern parts of Florida as forecasters warn of ‘hail, damaging winds and possibly tornadoes.’
Meteorologists have said that Jacksonville, Tallahassee and their surrounding areas could take a battering when a storm passes through the top of the state on Monday. The warning comes after at least 16 people died in weather -related deaths following flooding in Tennessee, Missouri, Indiana, Kentucky and Arkansas.
The National Weather Service shared their warning about the wild weather, which is predicted to hit Jacksonville during the afternoon and into the evening. The agency even suggested that parts of North Florida may encounter tornadoes.
Where is being impacted?
The service wrote: “Southeast Georgia, the Suwannee Valley and portions of northeast Florida will have a Slight (level 2/5) Risk of severe thunderstorms on Monday afternoon and evening.
