Fatal Westside Shooting Shocks Jacksonville Community, Leaves One Dead and Three Detained

A fatal shooting incident has rocked Jacksonville’s Westside community, where a man was pronounced dead at the scene Monday night. According to First Coast News, local law enforcement reported that officers were dispatched to a house on the 7400 block of Ricker Road after receiving a 911 call. There, they discovered an adult male with gunshot wounds, following what neighbors described as a “loud conversation” coming from the property just moments before gunshots were heard.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) responded to the incident near the McGirts Creek neighborhood around 8:15 p.m., as detailed by Action News Jax, finding the victim with multiple gunshot wounds, pronounced dead by the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, who arrived to the scene for medical assistance but it was too late, he was dead already.
