JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The woman who skipped her sentencing in the shoplifting that led to a Jacksonville store owner being run over and killed is back in custody after a little more than a month on the lam.
Tashina Renee Dobbins, 40, was arrested May 6 and charged with failure of a defendant on bail to appear in court, a felony.
She was initially charged with felony petty theft on Dec. 21. Since she pleaded guilty on Feb. 26, the judge allowed her to be released on her own recognizance to appear for her sentencing, and the prosecutor agreed to no longer request she wear a GPS ankle monitor until then, court records show.
