ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla — UPDATE 2:30 P.M.: Florida Highway Patrol says a 63-year-old Ponte Vedra woman was killed in a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 1 and Pine Island/Stratton Road.
According to FHP, the 63-year-old woman was turning left from Pine Island Road to go South on U.S. 1. As she turned, an SUV heading North on U.S. 1 hit the driver’s side of her sedan. After the initial crash, the woman’s sedan then hit a trailer that was being pulled by a truck waiting in the median.
No names have been formally released at this time. The driver of the SUV, a 19-year-old man, suffered minor injuries. The truck driver was not hurt…
