The NWS Jacksonville office has identified a heightened threat of isolated strong to severe thunderstorms on May 8, 2025, particularly affecting inland Southeast Georgia and the Atlantic coast. Key hazards include:

  • Damaging winds (40-60 mph), capable of impacting structures and trees.
  • Hail, posing risks to property and vehicles.
