A Jacksonville man was arrested on Friday night, May 16, after Flagler County deputies observed him throwing a bag of marijuana from his vehicle during a traffic stop.
Deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with illegal window tint. Before the vehicle came to a complete stop, deputies witnessed one of the occupants discard a clear bag from the passenger-side window. The bag was retrieved and later confirmed to contain marijuana. Inside the vehicle, deputies also discovered a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue tucked under the driver’s seat cover.
Through their investigation, deputies identified the driver, 46-year-old Michael Brown of Jacksonville, Florida, as the individual who threw the bag of marijuana.
