Bodycam footage captures dramatic duckling rescue in Florida

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Thanks to a “quack” team effort by first responders, a feathered family is back together and waddling free.

What began as a routine call turned into a heartwarming rescue on May 6, when deputies from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office (SJCSO) discovered eight ducklings trapped in a storm drain.

With the mother duck visibly distressed nearby, deputies called in St. Johns County Fire Rescue for assistance. According to the sheriff’s office, the teams worked together using a bucket and net to gently lift the ducklings to safety…
