City proposes $450k plan to improve air quality in Jacksonville’s most polluted neighborhoods

The Jacksonville City Council has introduced a $450,000 ordinance aimed at improving air quality in some of the city’s most disadvantaged and pollution-burdened neighborhoods.

The proposed funding would come from the Environmental Protection Trust Fund and be used to expand air monitoring efforts in areas like Brentwood, Brooklyn and parts of Downtown.
