An incident occurred yesterday morning on Jacksonville’s Northside, prompting an ongoing investigation by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) at a residence in the 11500 block of Lorence Avenue. According to First Coast News, two young adults, a man and a woman, both believed to be around 19-20 years old, were found dead in what appeared to be a murder-suicide.
Responding to the scene around 1:30 a.m., law enforcement discovered the couple in a room together, the man having suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, and the woman presenting with a stab wound to her neck. Both individuals were pronounced dead on the scene by arriving members of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
The two young individuals were in a relationship for the last two years and shared the home where the event took place. JSO Sgt. Highfill, in a statement obtained by The Florida Times-Union, also noted the discovery of “multiple suicide notes” left by the male victim…
