Rain tapers off as the evening settles in under cooler skies

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Looking ahead, Jacksonville can expect on-and-off rain throughout the week as an area of low pressure moves through. A slight cooldown but also the potential for heavier “tropical” showers, especially from midweek into the weekend. The forecast shows daytime highs in the low to mid-90s with chances of rain every day.

As for tropical weather, no immediate threats are present for Northeast Florida. A disturbance in the Gulf has only a 10 percent chance of developing, and at this point is not expected to impact the local area…
