Exotic Car Dealer Vanishes After Allegedly Pocketing Millions in Fraudulent Sales

This is a rather shocking story of a high-end dealership shutdown amid fraud claims. Apparently, the owner of Bul Auto, Vladimir Ranguelov, simply vanished after accepting payments for exotic cars, including Lamborghinis and Aston Martins, without providing customers with the titles or registrations for the cars purchased. Until abruptly shutting its doors on June 3, Bul Auto was an Alabama Romeo franchise in Colonie, NY, which also operated high-end dealerships in Jacksonville, FL.

In one lawsuit, the plaintiff claims dealer plates were all they got in exchange for the $255,000 they paid Bul Auto for a 2021 Lamborghini Huracan EVO model. They even traded in two even more expensive cars and took out a huge loan for the purchase. The next thing they learned was that Bul Auto has closed shop, with the GM later claiming the owner, Ranguelov, “had systematically taken money from the business… and fled the jurisdiction.”
