The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has arrested 28-year-old Tayler Strickland in connection with a road rage incident that escalated into a shootout on Atlantic Boulevard and St. Johns Bluff.
On Saturday, August 2, just before 1:45 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting. Investigators learned that a 25-year-old man, traveling with his mother and aunt, had nearly collided with another vehicle, leading to a confrontation.
According to the complainant, the suspect, later identified as Strickland, pulled a firearm and waved it at him. The victim drew his own firearm, and Strickland allegedly began firing. The victim returned fire before crashing his vehicle after being struck by gunfire. His injuries were not life-threatening…
