JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — On Thursday afternoon, July 7, Jacksonville patrol officers in District 6 responded to a report of an accidental shooting on Lem Turner Road near Capper Road.
Officers arrived to find a child with a gunshot wound. The child was transported to a hospital and is recovering.
According to investigators, the child had access to a firearm and accidentally discharged it. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate to determine any further action…
