Paw Patrol: Nassau County introduces Max, the gun-sniffing dog as newest back-to-school safety measure

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. – Most of us know “PAW Patrol” as an animated series for toddlers, but one of the newest members of the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office is bringing the phrase to life.

The sheriff’s office on Tuesday introduced K9 Max, a Fox Red Labrador who specializes in sniffing out guns, as the newest deputy deployed within the Nassau County School District.

Officials said that Max, a 1-year-old originally from England, spent time in West Virginia before making his way to Nassau County, adding that he and his handler, Deputy Brandon Griffith, trained together during summer break to ensure Max was ready for the school year…
