Jacksonville Braces for Showers and Thunderstorms as Humidity Soars

According to the National Weather Service, today’s forecast calls for an 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with rainfall between a quarter and a half inch. Winds will shift from light and variable to northwest at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight, showers and storms are expected mainly before 2 a.m., with an 80 percent chance of precipitation.

Sunday will bring a chance of showers before 11 a.m., followed by showers and possible thunderstorms after 2 p.m. On Labor Day, northeast winds will increase to 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 23 mph, along with a 70 percent chance of afternoon thunderstorms…
