JACKSONVILLE, Fla.—A multi-month investigation sparked by a citizen tip has resulted in the seizure of four stolen firearms and over 7,300 potentially lethal doses of fentanyl from two homes in the Jacksonville Heights area.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) Narcotics Unit began investigating after a concerned citizen reported suspicious activity at two residences on Nussbaum Drive. After building a case for several months, detectives obtained search warrants for both homes.
On September 2, JSO SWAT and Narcotics detectives served the warrants simultaneously. The search yielded:
- 14.6 grams of fentanyl (approximately 7,300 lethal doses)
- 165.8 grams of crack cocaine
- 6.1 grams of methamphetamine
- 18.8 grams of marijuana
- 9 firearms, 4 of which were stolen
- $1,543 in cash
