In a not-so-savvy attempt at discount shopping, three individuals are now on the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office radar after allegedly helping themselves to merchandise without bothering to pay. A social media post from the JSO’s Facebook page cunningly titled “WANTED WEDNESDAY: Do You Recognize These Bargain Hunters?” makes it clear that the only hunt these individuals won was for the attention of law enforcement.
It seems the trio, seen on security footage from a store on Southside Boulevard on August 14, decided on an ill-advised five-finger discount approach, filling their empty handbags and pants with items devoid of price tags, JSO’s Facebook post was not shy to note, the trio “must’ve thought they were part of a rewards program,” but the points they’re collecting are set to earn them “charges” instead of savings. The officers are reaching out to the public for assistance, with the optimistic bargain of exchanging the stolen goods for “three pairs of silver bracelets” and an involuntary stay at the local jail…
