JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – The Travis Manion Foundation brought its annual 9/11 Heroes Run to Jacksonville Beach on Sunday morning, honoring the lives lost in the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks.
The race, now in its 18th year, began at 8 a.m. at the Seawalk Pavilion. It’s one of more than 100 runs held worldwide by the foundation, which is named after Travis Manion, a U.S. Marine Corps officer killed in Iraq in 2007.
The “9/11 Heroes Run” not only honors those who died in the attacks but also pays tribute to veterans, first responders and service members currently protecting communities…
