JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – From Meteorologist Katie Garner:

I’ve been watching the clouds come in, and it’s shaping up to be a soggy couple of days here in Jacksonville, along with much of northeast Florida and southeast Georgia. Right now, it’s cloudy at Jacksonville Airport and over at the Guy Harvey Resort in St. Augustine. We’ve had some strong breezes and choppy surf, but conditions were still mostly dry earlier this morning.

But don’t expect that to last. Steadier rainfall is expected to move through the area, with showers likely increasing through the afternoon and into the evening. Storms could join the mix, which might bring stronger wind gusts—especially noticeable in Georgia, where they could top out around 30 mph…
