JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The ripple effects of the government shutdown aren’t just being felt in Washington; they’re reaching right into the homes of military families here in Jacksonville.

Just outside Naval Station Mayport, a clinic serving children with special needs says its funding has been frozen, leaving dozens of local families in limbo.
