JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 46-year-old motorcyclist died Friday morning when he lost control at an intersection and hit the side of a tractor-trailer on New Kings Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
According to FHP, the motorcyclist and the semi driver were both stopped on U.S. 1 (New Kings Road) at a red light at the Trout River Boulevard intersection around 10:30 a.m.
Troopers said that when the light turned green, the traffic started moving forward through the intersection, but the motorcyclist lost control, swerved into the inside lane, and hit the side of the trailer…
