Jacksonville Resident Shot During Attempted Home Robbery
I still remember reading about this, and it sent a chill down my spine. Early Sunday morning in Jacksonville’s Springfield area, a man in his early 30s was suddenly pulled from the safety of his own home.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the intruder, masked and dressed in black, barged into his bedroom armed with a rifle, demanding his belongings.
During the struggle over the gun, it went off twice, striking the resident once in the leg. Thankfully, his injuries were non-life-threatening, and his girlfriend, who was in the home at the time, was unharmed. The suspect then fled, disappearing into the neighborhood…
