A Nov. 29 soft opening is scheduled for the city park at Riverfront Plaza, the Downtown site of the demolished Jacksonville Landing.
During an update of private and public projects at the Nov. 18 Downtown Investment Authority board meeting, DIA Capital Projects Manager Scott Wilson said the opening of the $38 million first phase of the park would occur during the city’s inaugural Holiday River Fest, which includes a Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Riverfront Plaza and the annual Light Boat Parade on the St. Johns River.
According to a Nov. 13 release from the city, the tree lighting ceremony is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. with the lighting at 6:15 p.m.
