Jacksonville Boy Found Safe After Community-Wide Search as K9 Patriot and Officer Yannuzzi Are Hailed as Heroes

Relief spread through Jacksonville yesterday as a collective search for a missing 9-year-old boy came to a heartwarming end. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirmed on social media that their K9 unit, consisting of Patriot and Officer Yannuzzi, successfully located young Zion Brown, who had earlier been reported missing from his home on Lydia Estates Drive near Dunn Avenue. The sheriff’s office shared the good news at 1:55 p.m., announcing that Zion was safely back with his family, extending gratitude to all those who aided in disseminating the information.

Concern had been mounting since Zion’s disappearance at approximately 10:40 a.m. that morning. Given his youth and the vulnerability that accompanies such tender years, local law enforcement and the community were on high alert. Zion was described as 4 feet, 8 inches tall and 85 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
